The Night We Found Insect Eggs in Our Salad

Posted on June 25, 2025June 25, 2025 By Adolph No Comments on The Night We Found Insect Eggs in Our Salad

My friend and I went to a cozy city restaurant for a peaceful dinner, ordering a fresh salad with avocado and quinoa. At first, everything seemed perfect until she noticed tiny black specks scattered on her plate.

We thought they were chia seeds or some trendy spice topping at first. But soon, we realized something was very wrong.

Those little specks weren’t seeds at all they were moving. We leaned in closer and saw tiny transparent spheres with dark dots inside, clearly insect eggs.

Shock turned into panic as we called the waiter, who struggled to explain the horrifying discovery. Without hesitation, we rushed to the hospital, worried about what we might have ingested.

At the hospital, doctors ran tests and gave us medication just in case, warning us to watch for symptoms. The restaurant tried to blame the incident on a supplier or “technical error,” but their excuses felt hollow. Our trust in the place vanished completely after that night of fear and uncertainty. Now, even the sight of chia seeds brings back the memory of that terrifying dinner.

We wanted only a calm, enjoyable meal, but instead faced a nightmare none of us expected.
I’m sharing this as a warning always check your food carefully, and don’t ignore anything unusual.
What seemed like a small detail almost turned into a serious health scare.
Sometimes, the tiniest things can change everything.
