A shocking and tragic case has shaken Bali, Indonesia, after severed human body parts believed to belong to a kidnapped Ukrainian tourist were discovered along the island’s coastline.
The victim, identified as Igor Komarov, 28, was reportedly the son of Oleksandr “Narik” Petrovsky, a powerful businessman from Dnipro, Ukraine, known for his influence and alleged ties to political circles and the criminal underworld. Authorities believe Komarov was abducted, tortured, and murdered in a brutal crime linked to an international criminal network.
According to investigators, Komarov disappeared on February 15, 2026, while riding a scooter near Jimbaran, a popular beach district in Bali frequented by Russian and Ukrainian visitors. Witnesses described the kidnapping as a military-style operation, involving several vehicles that intercepted him and forced him away.

Komarov had been traveling with his girlfriend, Yea Mishalova, a social media influencer with nearly 200,000 followers on Instagram. Just one day before the abduction, Mishalova posted a Valentine’s Day photo of the couple online, which investigators believe may have unintentionally revealed their location to the kidnappers.
Police believe Komarov was taken to a luxury villa in the Tabanan region, where he was beaten and tortured. In disturbing footage that surfaced later on social media, the young man appeared with severe injuries, including black eyes, as he pleaded for his father to pay a$10 million ransom.
In the video, Komarov begged his parents for help, claiming the kidnappers were demanding money connected to an alleged fraudulent deal involving his father. Authorities suspect the abduction was carried out by members of aUkrainian criminal syndicate seeking to recover money they believed had been stolen.
The case took an even darker turn on February 27, when police discovered severed human remains near the mouth of the Wos River on Bali’s eastern coast—approximately 30 kilometers from the suspected holding location. The remains included a head, leg, parts of the chest, and internal organs.
Forensic analysis suggested the victim had died several days earlier. Although initial DNA tests were inconclusive, investigators say the remains match Komarov’s physical profile, and further testing is underway to confirm the identity.

Indonesian authorities have already arrested one suspect, identified by the initials CH, and named six others connected to the kidnapping and murder. Police say four suspects fled Bali through Denpasar International Airport, while two others may still be hiding in Indonesia. All have been placed onInterpol’s Red Notice list as an international manhunt continues.
The brutal killing has drawn global attention and raised concerns about the reach of international organized crime networks. As investigators work to confirm the victim’s identity and capture those responsible, Komarov’s family and loved ones remain devastated by the horrifying loss.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing, with multiple agencies cooperating across borders to bring the suspects to justice.
