A former FBI agent has pointed out an overlooked detail in the surveillance footage of a masked individual seen on Nancy Guthrie’s porch on the night she disappeared.
Jennifer Coffindaffer said in a post on X that the individual has a “handheld walkie-talkie.”
She wrote: “Porch Guy definitely had an accomplice and maybe more than 1! No way you commit this abduction by yourself. See the antenna? See the handheld walkie-talkie? They were coordinated.”
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department said Monday that it was aware of differences in the masked person’s clothing depicted in various images that were released, namely, with and without a backpack. That came after reports that said the masked man seen on doorbell camera footage was spotted at Nancy Guthrie’s house at an earlier date.
But the sheriff’s department said there is “no date or time stamp associated with these images” and “any suggestion that the photographs were taken on different days is purely speculative.”
Coffindaffer wrote in her post: “Don’t be too sure that the guy with no gun and no backpack wasn’t an accomplice. So many cases where bad guys choose to dress alike.”
